Forest Hill is widely regarded as one of Toronto’s most prestigious neighbourhoods, which is not an easy title to claim. There is an infinite number of reasons for living in Forest Hill and I would like to introduce you to some of the best things about the community I call home.
Top Tier Education
For families who will only accept the best education for their children, nestled in the Forest Hill neighbourhood lies Upper Canada College for boys and Bishop Strachan School for girls – two private schools that are rated among the best in the country.
Thriving Community Life
Driving through Forest Hill’s picturesque winding roads and lushly landscaped streets, you will instantly realise that there is a strong sense of community and charm to the area. For those living in Forest Hill, the Village Living Magazine provides a beautiful print and online edition featuring neighbourhood events, up and coming local talents, as well as important tips on style, living well, and food. In addition, the Forest Hill Village News keeps locals abreast of all the goings-on in the community as well as providing a directory of all the businesses that serve the area.
To get a taste of this bustling and vibrant community, plan a visit throughout the month of June and visit Suydam Park between June 9th and 30th where, weather-permitting, some of Toronto’s finest musicians will acoustically serenade any of those who choose to dine al fresco in the park or simply soak in summer’s sunshine. If June is too far away and you want to sneak a visit sooner to enjoy May’s flowers after April’s showers, be on the lookout for all of Forest Hill’s new street furniture. Brand new benches, chairs and planters now adorn the streets of the village.
Gorgeous Architecture
Forest Hill homes cater to all tastes. Whether you want an old stone mansion covered in ivy and historical facts, or an elegant modern home that has state-of-the-art technology, Forest Hill has options for you. From condominiums to large stately homes, every house in the neighbourhood is constructed with passion and brilliantly thoughtful design.
Location, Location, Location
In addition to being the perfect neighbourhood for families, those who love green spaces and those who thrive in a tightly-knit community, it is important to note as well that Forest Hill is perfectly located a stone’s throw from the downtown core. Forest Hill houses the St. Clair West subway station that provides an easy and environmentally-friendly way of commuting or exploring the city. For those who prefer to drive, there is easy access to Yonge Street, and Allen Road, which becomes Highway 401.
Living in Forest Hill my whole life, I consider this amazing Toronto neighbourhood my home. On my YouTube page, I provide an insightful and visually remarkable depiction of my hometown.
Come out and enjoy one of the last two villages to be annexed by the City of Toronto and see for yourself why these beautifully architecturally designed homes have stood the test of time to earn the neighbourhood its exclusive and wealthy reputation.
